Innovative engineering solutions are essential for today's state-of-the-art facilities and products. TEAM's Mechanical Engineers are all very creative and each one has a unique skill set and experience that makes our design team very strong. From concept to production, our engineers work collaboratively with clients to achieve responsive designs and integrated systems so we can create flexible, efficient, and cost effective solutions.
3D Solid modeling allows us to create 3D images that are as realistic as the actual objects. Our engineers use the following software:
Our design detail work is completed by Mechanical Engineers with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T) certification or Mechanical Drafters with associate degrees in drafting. All are well versed in the ANSI/ASME Y14.5 2009 standard and have years of experience using the American standard.
From top-level assembly drawings with parametrically linked BOM, we employ document control from model inception through drawing release. Our Configuration Management insures seamless tractability of design changes.
The list below demonstrates the types of drawings TEAM has successfully completed:
Prototypes can range from non-functional models and virtual drawings to 3D virtual designs that show functionality, all the way to being fully-functional products.
TEAM's mechanical engineers have access to the latest manufacturing equipement available in house 3D Printer, CNC mills, manual mills, lathes and saws. We have the ability to prototype and fabricate or modify prototypes and parts really quickly if necessary. More complicated machining is sent to our in-house machine shop.
TEAM's mechanical engineers also have lab space to perform assembly, testing/validation of designed prototypes or any other lab work that may be required. TEAM has lab space at their current location and additional lab space located a short distance from the main facility. Our onsite lab space includes general lab space and a cleanroom lab space.
We use ABSplus, a production-grade thermoplastic that gives our models the ability to perform just like production parts in real-world functional testing
